Then have the last character be a sub damage dealer/tank like character, using classes like Bastion, Shieldmaster, Vanguard, etc.

And keep them on healer duty and when have them use offensive spells when noone needs healing. and make sure there magic attack & restorative power are high.

Then I would have one character stick to white mage as a sub job, and an offensive magic based class like red mage, spiritmaster, Black Mage, etc. You will have no issues melting through bosses, especially if you have there main jobs as a physical damage class like vanguard, shadow, etc. During boss fights have these characters defaulting 3 times, then braving fully and have all those attacks be Godspeed Strike.

I would begin choosing two characters, of your choice and have them master theif and keep them on thief as a sub job. Thats probably why, your party setup really seems inefficient and very lacking in power.īard is not very useful, buffs in this game really arent worth using and trying to maintain, so I would drop bard completely. So a party setup of 1 magic damage dealer/healer + 2 damage dealers + 1 sub damage dealer/Healing item user is pretty much more than enough to carry you through any fights or bosses and with proper sub jobs 2 damage dealers can be more than enough to melt bosses I usually always have someone with white mage sub, and make sure they restorative power stat is high and boosted and thats usually enough to carry you through fights, and have two characters focus on being the damage dealers, and a sub damage dealer who focuses on using healing items like ethers to keep everyones mp up and only do damage when theres no need to restore mp. Theres lots of good boss fights and mini boss fights in this game, and i love that they are challenging in fun ways because it means coming up with fun or unique strategies.

I thoroughly enjoy the game, and I wouldnt let a single boss fight ruin the experience for you. that ability becomes a boss killer especially on a speedy, hard hitting class. Its sort of optional, the upgraded boss fights in "post game" yield really good equipment/rewards for beating them and are good sources for farming things like giant JP orbs.īut story based bosses, Gallahad was the only one I didnt like all the others really challenging but in a fun way and didnt feel tedious at all, especially once I unlocked Godspeed strike from the thief class.
